Every word search here is large print by design: big, high-contrast letters in roomy grids you can read without squinting. They are free to play in your browser or print to solve with a pen — no sign-up, no app. Large print is not a setting you switch on; it is simply how the whole site is built, so a relaxing puzzle stays easy on the eyes.

Large print by design, not a setting

On most sites, “large print” is a box buried in a menu, or just a bigger printout. Here it is the specification the whole site is built to. The letters in every grid are the largest text on the page, set in a clean sans-serif with generous spacing between them, and every puzzle uses the same roomy grid — the cells never shrink to squeeze in more words. If you would like it bigger still, the text-size buttons at the top of every page (A / A+ / A++) enlarge the whole thing.

More than a list of words

There is more to each puzzle than the grid. Every one is built around a single warm theme and comes with a short written introduction and a few notes on the words — real facts, a small trip into the subject. It is made with care rather than churned out by a machine, which is what makes a quiet half-hour with one feel like time well spent.
