About Faith & Inspiration
Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan in answer to a simple question: "Who is my neighbor?" A man beaten by bandits on the dusty road from Jerusalem to Jericho is passed by a priest and a Levite — yet a Samaritan stranger stops, binds his wounds with oil and wine, lifts him onto his donkey, and pays the innkeeper to care for him. In a world where Samaritans and Jews rarely spoke, the story turned the very idea of "neighbor" inside out, placing mercy above tribe, law, or convenience.
