About Roses

Few flowers carry as much history as the rose. Damask roses were pressed for their precious attar oil in the valleys of Bulgaria and Persia centuries before the first hybrid tea ever graced a Victorian greenhouse. Old garden roses — cabbage roses, Bourbons, mosses — bloom once in a glorious flush, filling the summer air with a fragrance that modern varieties spend lifetimes trying to match.
