About Fifties Fashion
The 1950s dressed the world in optimism. Full circle skirts floated over layers of stiff crinoline, saddle shoes gleamed in two-tone leather, and a carefully pinned brooch could lift a whole outfit from ordinary to dazzling. From the sock hop to the high street, getting dressed was its own kind of celebration.
