About The Parade

On the Fourth of July, Main Street belongs to everyone. Folding chairs claim their spots at the curb before the sun is fully up, and the distant rumble of a drum line drifting around the corner is enough to bring the whole sidewalk to its feet. Crepe-paper floats, color guards snapping their flags in perfect unison, a tuba gleaming in the morning light, the parade is the day's first, best ceremony.
