About Fireflies & Summer Nights
As the last color drains from a summer sky, the fireflies begin, a slow blink here, a drift of gold there, until the whole meadow is quietly lit. Crickets fill the dark with their steady chorus, and the porch screen glows faint against the night. It is one of summer's oldest rituals: a glass jar, a handful of living sparks, and the feeling that the night itself is alive.
