About The Great Apes

Deep in the equatorial forests of Africa and Asia, the great apes live in close-knit troops, foraging, grooming, and raising young in ways that feel strikingly familiar. A silverback gorilla moves through the undergrowth with quiet authority, knuckle-walking trails worn smooth by generations before him. Orangutans build fresh sleeping nests high in the canopy each night, while chimps fashion simple tools and exchange gestures that hint at a rich inner life.
