About Good Friday

Good Friday falls at the heart of Holy Week, the day Christians mark the crucifixion of Jesus on a hill outside Jerusalem called Golgotha. In that long, quiet afternoon, candles flicker against the dark, and the faithful gather not in celebration but in reverent, watchful sorrow.
