About The Birthday Cake

A proper layer cake is a small act of love built from the inside out, golden rounds of batter cooled on the counter, a generous crumb coat smoothed along the sides, and rosettes piped along the top edge just so. The moment the candles are lit, the whole room seems to quiet and lean in. Every cake holds its own ritual: the wish made in secret, the first cut pressing through tiers of soft crumb and cream.

How to play
