About Stargazing
Step away from the porch light and let your eyes adjust, within minutes the sky fills in, layer by layer, star by star. On a moonless night far from city glow, the Milky Way arches overhead like a softly lit river, and familiar shapes emerge: Orion's belt, the graceful W of Cassiopeia, the steady anchor of the North Star. There is a particular stillness that comes from lying back on cool grass, watching for a streak of light to cross the dark, a silence that feels older than any campfire story.
