About Frogs & Toads

At the edge of a pond, the world slows down. A bullfrog settles onto a lily pad, throat pulsing with a deep croak that carries across the water; a toad hunkers beneath a damp stone while the evening mist rolls in. Come spring, the shallows fill with ribbons of spawn, and within weeks the water is alive with darting tadpoles making their slow, miraculous change into something that breathes the open air.
