About Cross-Stitch
Cross-stitch is one of the oldest counted needlework traditions, built on a simple premise: two diagonal stitches crossed over a single fabric square to form an X. The cloth most stitchers reach for is aida, its evenly woven grid of holes making it easy to count each stitch precisely. A project begins on paper — or screen — as a color-coded chart, then slowly blooms into florals, alphabets, and borders stretched taut inside a round wooden hoop.
