About Famous Voyages
Long before satellites, navigators trusted the stars, a sextant, and a compass rose to carry them across unmarked water. Ships like the square-rigged galleons of the Age of Exploration left harbor with charts that ended at the edge of the known world, and came home having redrawn them. Every voyage was a wager: wind, rigging, longitude, and the nerve of the crew against an ocean that owed nothing to human ambition.
