About Great Empires
From the sun-baked roads of Rome to the vast steppes crossed by Mongol horsemen, the great empires of history bound continents together with trade, tribute, and iron discipline. An emperor's decree could shift borders overnight; a single dynasty might hold sway for centuries before a distant rebellion shook the throne. Every empire left its mark in roads and ruins, in language and law — echoes that still shape the world today.
