About The Andy Griffith Show
The Andy Griffith Show ran on CBS from 1960 to 1968, and it never once felt in a hurry. Sheriff Taylor kept the peace mostly by talking, and Barney kept his one bullet in his shirt pocket. The show was filmed in black and white for its first several seasons, and plenty of people can still whistle the theme from the fishing hole walk.
