About A Bowl of Cereal
Saturday morning had its own ritual: slide off the bed, drag a blanket to the living room floor, and pour a bowl before the cartoons started. The cereal box stood at eye level on the carpet, its bright mascot grinning back while you fished around the bottom for the toy inside. Milk went in last, or first, if you were the kind of person who liked to live dangerously, and the spoon clinked against the bowl in a rhythm as comfortable as the theme songs flickering on the screen.
