About The Lone Ranger
The Lone Ranger started on Detroit radio station WXYZ in 1933, and by the time the TV show reached ABC in 1949 a whole generation already knew the theme from Rossini's William Tell Overture. The story is simple and it holds up: a Texas Ranger survives an ambush, puts on a mask cut from his dead brother's vest, and rides out with his friend Tonto to set things right. Clayton Moore wore the mask for most of the TV run, with Jay Silverheels beside him as Tonto.
How to play
