About Michael Crichton: The Storyteller Who Brought Dinosaurs Back
On October 23, 1942, Michael Crichton came into the world in Chicago, Illinois, and from that beginning grew one of the most restless imaginations in American fiction. He trained as a physician at Harvard Medical School even as he wrote novels on the side, weaving genetics, paleontology, and cutting-edge technology into plots that moved like freight trains. His 1990 masterwork Jurassic Park asked what would happen if cloned dinosaurs walked the earth again, and the world has never quite stopped answering that question.
