About Autumn Nights

When the air turns sharp and the maples blaze red and gold, something ancient stirs in the evening. Bonfires crackle at the edge of harvested fields, sending sparks up toward a fat orange moon, and the smell of woodsmoke drifts across rows of dried corn. Owls call from the tree line, frost settles on the pumpkins, and the whole world feels quieter, closer, and just a little bit haunted.
