About Halloween Folklore Creatures
Long before jack-o'-lanterns lit the doorstep, the creatures of Halloween lived in fireside stories passed down through the generations, the mournful wail of a banshee on the wind, the werewolf prowling under a harvest moon, the pale phantom drifting through a graveyard mist. Every culture seemed to grow its own version of these night-dwelling beings, each one a vivid answer to the old human question: what stirs in the dark? Halloween gathers them all under one gloriously spooky roof, letting us shiver and grin at the same time.
