About Joe Louis & Rocky Marciano

Before television took over the living room, a fight night meant gathering around the radio and leaning in close. Joe Louis held the heavyweight crown for nearly twelve years, and Rocky Marciano retired in 1956 with a record of 49 wins and no losses. Both men carried whole neighborhoods with them, Detroit for one and Brockton, Massachusetts for the other.
