About The Starting Gate

In the moments before a race, the paddock hums with quiet ritual, jockeys adjusting silks, handlers murmuring to restless horses, the bugle cutting clean across the infield air. Each horse is loaded into its numbered stall, the starter watching until every door is still and every rider is set. Then the gate swings wide, the thunder answers, and everything that came before dissolves into the run.
