About The Triple Crown
Every spring the best three-year-old thoroughbreds in the country get five weeks to prove themselves. It starts the first Saturday in May in Louisville, moves to Baltimore two weeks later, and finishes in Elmont, New York, in early June. Each race has its own flower and its own crowd, and only a handful of horses have ever won all three.
