About The Florida Coast
Florida's coastline curves for more than a thousand miles, from the tidal marshes of the Panhandle to the coral-fringed Keys, with the Gulf's green warmth on one side and the Atlantic's deep blue on the other. Along the way, brown pelicans glide low over the surf, ospreys circle the piers, and manatees drift through the glassy shallows of river mouths and mangrove channels. It is a shore of salt air and white sand, of early mornings when the tide has smoothed the beach flat and left a fresh line of shells gleaming at the water's edge.
