About The California Zephyr
The California Zephyr has long been called the most beautiful train ride in America. Threading through the Colorado Rockies, gliding beside the Colorado River through Ruby Canyon, and climbing the Sierra Nevada in the last amber light of afternoon, the route unfolds like a slow, living painting. Passengers in the glass-topped dome car watch the continent change beneath them, from the wide-open plains of Nebraska to the snowfields of Donner Pass, arriving in San Francisco having crossed a whole country by rail.
