About Famous Ghost Towns

When the ore gave out, the people left, and in the dry air of the West a surprising number of buildings simply stayed put. You can still walk a street in Bodie where the dust sits on a table and a general store keeps its shelves. These towns rose fast on silver and gold, and they went quiet just as fast, which is part of why we keep visiting them.

How to play

  1. 1
    Find a word.Tap its first letter, then tap along to its last. The trail fills in and finishes itself when it spells a word. Or press the first letter and drag.

    Words run in straight lines.Across and down, and on the harder difficulties diagonally and backwards.
  3. 3
