About Jaguars & Jungle Cats

Under the canopy the light comes down green and broken, and the biggest cat in the Americas moves through it without a sound. A jaguar's coat is covered in rosettes, rings of black around a darker dot, and no two animals carry quite the same pattern. Smaller cousins like the ocelot and the margay work the same forest, one mostly on the ground and the other high in the branches.
