About Bumblebees

Bumblebees are among the most recognizable visitors in any garden, round, velvety, and unhurried as they work their way through foxglove bells and clover heads. Unlike honeybees, they nest in small colonies underground, a cozy burrow tended by a single queen. That signature buzz isn't just sound, it's a technique called sonication, where the bee vibrates its flight muscles to shake loose stubborn pollen from deep within a flower.
