About The Chisel
A sharp chisel in steady hands can shave a whisper of wood from a mortise wall or split a clean line along the grain with almost no effort at all. The gouge, the skew, and the flat each have their own voice, a hollow scoop, a slicing glide, a crisp paring stroke that peels a thin curl and leaves the surface bright. Getting there takes patience at the whetstone and the strop, coaxing the bevel back to a keen, mirror edge that catches the workshop light.
How to play
