About Ancient Egypt
For thousands of years the Nile flooded each summer, leaving behind a strip of dark, fertile soil that bloomed against the desert, a gift the Egyptians called the Black Land. Along its banks they raised temples and obelisks, wrapped their dead in fine linen, and pressed the stems of papyrus into thin sheets that carried their words across millennia. Their gods wore the heads of ibises and cobras, their pharaohs were buried beneath mountains of stone, and a great limestone sphinx still watches the horizon at Giza as it has for roughly 4,500 years.
How to play
