About Queens of History
Some queens were married into a throne. The ones here held it themselves, and a few held it against long odds. Hatshepsut took the double crown of Egypt around 1479 BC, and Elizabeth I ruled England from 1558 until 1603, from candlelit Tudor halls that were drafty even in summer. A good many of these names are still said without a title attached.
How to play
