About Women of the West

Willa Cather moved to Nebraska as a girl in 1883 and spent the rest of her life writing about the prairie she found there. Narcissa Whitman crossed the Rockies in 1836 with her husband Marcus, among the first white women to make the Oregon Trail trip. Annie Oakley meanwhile was performing with Buffalo Bill's Wild West in the 1880s, and the West of the posters and the West of the diaries were never quite the same place.

How to play
