About Egyptian Gods

Along the banks of the Nile, ancient Egyptians wove an intricate web of gods who ruled the sky, the earth, the flood, and the world beyond death. The great temples at Karnak and Luxor rang with hymns to Amun and Ra, while priests tended sacred animals, the cat, the falcon, the crocodile, as living vessels of divine power. From the weighing of the heart in the Hall of Truth to the daily journey of the sun across the sky, every breath of Egyptian life moved in the shadow of the gods.
