About The Radio Set
The great console radio stood on the floor like a piece of furniture, and in many homes it was the finest piece in the room. Warm walnut or mahogany cabinets hid a tangle of glass tubes that took a minute to warm up and glow amber before a voice or an orchestra eased out of the speaker cloth. The illuminated dial, with its city names and frequency markings, was a kind of map of the invisible world sailing through the air just beyond the walls.
How to play
