About Nostalgia & Eras

Walk into any seaside amusement hall or city-centre arcade in the early 1980s and the air was alive with bleeps, chimes, and the clatter of coins. Rows of upright cabinets cast their electric light onto the faces of players coaxing one more life out of Pac-Man or threading a pixelated frog through traffic on Frogger. The high score was a kind of public monument — initials burned into the screen for all to see, proof that someone, once, had been brilliant here.
