About 1960s Music

The Sixties had a sound all its own — a Motown single on the radio, the Beatles on every turntable, a new record carried home in its paper sleeve. Before downloads and streaming, music was something you held: the 45 spinning, the jukebox glowing in the corner of the café, the hush of a concert hall as the lights went down. Each word here is a little doorway back to the songs that filled so many happy evenings — and got everyone up to do the Twist.
