About The Irish Candle

On Christmas Eve in Ireland, a single candle placed in the window has long been a gesture of quiet, open-hearted welcome, a light for the Holy Family, and for any cold traveler passing the cottage gate. The tradition took deepest root in the rural parishes of the west, where peat fires glowed in the hearth and the night outside was dark and wide. To set the candle on the sill was a small act that carried everything: warmth, mercy, and the hope that no one would have to pass by in the cold.
