About The Dallas Cowboys
Tom Landry coached Dallas from the team's first season in 1960 until 1988, and he did it in a suit and a snap-brim fedora, never raising his voice much. The 1970s belonged to Roger Staubach under center and the Doomsday Defense up front, and by the end of the decade the Cowboys had picked up the nickname America's Team. Somewhere in a living room there was a TV with the sound turned low and a lot of people leaning forward.
