About The Field Goal
The field goal is one of football's most precise, pressure-packed plays, a split-second sequence of snap, hold, and swing that turns a stalled drive into points on the board. The kicker takes exactly one step, plants, and sends the ball tumbling end-over-end toward the uprights, hoping the laces sit forward and the trajectory bisects that yellow crossbar with room to spare. From a chip shot inside twenty yards to a booming boot at the edge of range, every attempt carries the weight of the game on a single swinging leg.
