About Boston

Boston wears its history on its sleeve, literally underfoot, in the red-brick line of the Freedom Trail that winds two and a half miles through the oldest neighborhoods of New England. Gas lamps glow along Beacon Hill's narrow streets, brownstone row houses lean close overhead, and the smell of salt drifts up from the harbor where the Tea Party played out on a cold December night in 1773. From the Puritan meeting house to the broad sweep of the Common, every corner of this city is a chapter in the American story.
