About Proverbs & Ecclesiastes
Proverbs and Ecclesiastes sit side by side in the Old Testament, and both are traditionally credited to Solomon, though they sound like different men. Proverbs gives its counsel in short, sharp lines about the ant that stores up grain before winter, the tongue that can build or wreck a life, the faithful friend, the woman of worth, and the two paths a person can take. Ecclesiastes stays with the harder questions much longer, turning vanity of vanities, a chasing after the wind, over like a stone in the hand, and it's also where the line about a time for everything under heaven comes from. The puzzles here take their words from both books.
