About The Power of the Tongue
Proverbs 18:21 says death and life are in the power of the tongue, and elsewhere the book says a soft answer turns away wrath (15:1) and that pleasant words are like honey to the soul (16:24). Ecclesiastes 3:7 sets speech beside a matter of timing, a time to keep silence and a time to speak, which is harder to practice than either half sounds.
