About The Milkshake

A milkshake arrives at the counter in a sweating metal tin, still swirling inside, with a tall glass alongside and a paper straw poking up through a cloud of whipped cream. The flavors that built the classic, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, haven't changed in decades, and neither has the ritual of tipping the tin to catch the last thick drop. Some diners still use a stainless blender cup and a malt mixer bolted to the counter, humming away the same as it ever did.
