About Pioneer Life
Life on the frontier asked everything of the people who chose it, steady hands, early mornings, and a deep knowledge of wood, weather, and soil. A homestead was built board by board: the cabin chinked against winter wind, the root cellar dug before the first frost, the loom set up in whatever corner caught the light. Come evening, a single tallow candle or a smoky lantern held back the dark while families mended, quilted, and planned for the season ahead.
