About Henry Ford
When Henry Ford rolled the first Model T out of the Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit in 1908, he wasn't just building a car, he was reshaping daily life across America. The moving assembly line he perfected at Highland Park cut the time to build a single car from over twelve hours to roughly ninety minutes, bringing the price within reach of the workers who built it. By the 1920s, the rumble of a Ford engine on a dusty country road was as American a sound as a screen door in summer.
