About The Coffeehouse
Long before the concert hall, music lived in small rooms, a stool pulled close to the mic, a candle on every table, and a notebook open on a singer's knee. The coffeehouse gave folk music its most intimate stage: brick walls, steam rising from a latte, and an audience that leaned in rather than shouted out. A single acoustic guitar and a careful lyric could hold a corner of that room as completely as any arena ever held a crowd.
