About Matching Stage Suits

Few images in American music hit quite like a trio walking out in identical suits, same cut, same color, same gleam under the lights. Motown's choreographers and stylists rehearsed the look as hard as the harmony, making the visual inseparable from the sound. A perfectly timed spin in matching velvet told the audience, before a single note rang out, that something extraordinary was about to happen.
