About The 1994 World Cup in America
In June of 1994 the biggest tournament in the sport landed in a country that hadn't paid it much mind, and the crowds surprised everybody. Nine cities hosted, the stadiums were enormous football bowls with the lines repainted, and the heat in places was brutal. It ended on a July afternoon in California with no goals at all, which is a strange way to remember a summer, but plenty of people do.
