About The Positions

A soccer team's shape is really just an argument about where to put eleven people. The numbers on the back of a shirt (the 9 for a center forward, the 6 for a holding midfielder) became a kind of shorthand the whole world eventually learned to read. Italy's catenaccio system of the 1960s made the libero famous, and the sweeper's art of reading the game quietly from behind has been debated on terraces ever since.

How to play
