About The Spotted Ladybug

Ladybugs aren't bugs at all but beetles, and the family they belong to, Coccinellidae, holds more than 6,000 species worldwide. The red shells on the back are elytra, hardened forewings that fold over the thin flying wings underneath. A seven-spotted ladybug, the one most people picture, can eat dozens of aphids in a day, which is why gardeners have spared them for generations. Nurseries still sell them by the container, though plenty of those buyers watch them fly off the next morning.

How to play
